Phantom limbs
2024

Installation photos from Maskinhallen with works by M.B. Pedersen and Karon Nilzén.
Phantom Limbs was a duo exhibition where I showed a series of prints together with a series of sculptural works by Karon Nilzén, in Maskinhallen in the former cafeteria of Sundholm’s old energy plant which is now a place for cultural and social initiatives in the area.
For the exhibition I made a series of prints based on objects from the former labour institution Sundholm, located on the island of Amager in Copenhagen. The objects are now kept in a storage at The Danish Welfare Museum in Svendborg. Through the museum, I gained access to the storage where I selected and photographed a series of objects, that I later transfered into intaglio prints on paper cut in the forms and dimensions of the open archival boxes in which the objects are currently kept. All the objects are reproduced on the prints in 1:1 scale.
